EAARS valued participating in the National Hazards Conference Brisbane July 2 – 3 2007 and invites participants to register at no cost and trial the EAARS, Emergency, Alert, Action and Response System.
It became evident that as a result of this conference EAARS has an ongoing commitment to be market leader in this field. EAARS actively involves itself in the global emergency industry as can be demonstrated by its actions ie:
· EAARS engages in publishing international Pro-forma emergency communication templates
· EAARS pursues membership with IAEM (International Association of Emergency Managers)
· EAARS has joined the inaugural foundation school emergency managers committee with IAEM and the Australasian Natural Hazards Conference
· EAARS has engaged PhD student research papers on school evacuation systems analysis
· EAARS promotes and sponsors mock evacuations in schools and universities to evaluate the effectiveness and development of the system using the criteria discussed during the conference last week.
EAARS will be working in conjunction with several universities who are preparing independent research papers on emergencies and are interested in supporting significant further extensions of the EAARS system.
